How to coach for success with Cisco Cloud Management for Catalyst
Help get customers onboarded onto the Cloud Management for Catalyst offer and guide them to scale their deployment while tapping into advanced features. There are two onboarding paths - one for greenfield customers, and one for brownfield customers (existing Cloud Monitoring for Catalyst customers).
This journey is for existing Cloud Monitoring for Catalyst customers that need to complete migration steps to use Cloud Management for Catalyst functionality.
Help customers understand the value of Catalyst cloud management and provide them with the steps to upgrade their switches to IOS XE 17.15.3 to begin using Cloud Management for Catalyst features.
This journey is for greenfield Cloud Management for Catalyst customers.
Help customers understand the value of Catalyst cloud management and provide them with the steps to get started with the Meraki dashboard.
This journey guides customers through establishing the rest of their Meraki Dashboard foundational settings as well as onboarding Catalyst devices.
Ensure customers have multiple administrative users set up in the dashboard, and then provide them with resources to begin adding Catalyst switches and/or wireless LAN controllers to the dashboard.
This journey provides guidance on scaling the deployment and utilizing details pages plus alerts for enhanced network visibility and troubleshooting.
Encourage customers to continue adding their Catalyst devices to the Meraki Dashboard and begin introducing dashboard features that can assist with optimizing network performance.
This journey introduces advanced features of Cloud Management for Catalyst.
Share the value of the more advanced features of the Meraki Dashboard and provide customers with tips and resources to get started with these features.

The customer will exit this stage when they have:

In this stage, the customer will:
- Become familiar with the value props of the Cloud Management for Catalyst offer
- Create a Meraki Dashboard account and begin onboarding devices
The customer will exit this stage when they have:
- Created a Meraki Dashboard account
- Created at least one administrative account within the Dashboard

- Assist customers with creating a dashboard account and organization
Offer Introduction
Preheader: Introducing Cloud Management for Catalyst
Trigger: Customer has not yet created a Meraki Dashboard account or onboarded any devices
Goal: Encourage customers to get started with the Meraki Dashboard
Offer Introduction
In this stage, the customer will:
- Begin onboarding Catalyst devices to the Meraki Dashboard
The customer will exit this stage when they have:
- Onboarded at least one Catalyst switch in device configuration mode with a minimum operating software of IOS XE 17.15.3 or onboarded at least one Catalyst Wireless LAN Controller (WLC)
Tips for Partner:
- Provide the appropriate resources to help customers onboard devices: Switches using device configuration, switches using cloud configuration, or WLCs using device configuration
Getting Started
Preheader: Complete your setup and explore key resources
Trigger: Customer has created a Meraki Dashboard account but has not yet onboarded any devices
Goal: Encourage customers to begin onboarding Catalyst devices
Getting Started
In this stage, the customer will:
- Begin utilizing the Cloud Management for Catalyst observability and troubleshooting pages
- Continue scaling their deployment
The customer will exit this stage when they have:
- Begin utilizing the Cloud Management for Catalyst observability and troubleshooting pages li>
- Continue scaling their deployment
- Mapped devices to the proper network
- Configured the appropriate alert(s)
- Visited the non-optional Cloud Management for Catalyst implementation pages at least one time
- Onboarded at least 50 Catalyst devices or 25% of eligible Catalyst devices
Implementation
Preheader: Learn how to continue to optimize your network
Trigger: Customer is in the Implement stage
Goal: Encourage customers to scale their deployment and utilize troubleshooting features available within the Dashboard
Implementation
In this stage, the customer will:
- Engage with the Catalyst configuration history at least one time, and utilize the Cloud CLI using the detach feature
- Continue scaling their deployment
- Continue logging into the Meraki Dashboard consistently
The customer will exit this stage when they have:
- Visited the Event log tab in the switch detail page (if Catalyst switching)
- Visited the Network-wide > Monitor > Clients' page
- Used the Cloud CLI with the detach feature
- Used the Intelligent Capture feature at least one time
- Acknowledged at least 20 alerts
- Onboarded at least 100 Catalyst devices or 50% of eligible Catalyst devices
Tips for Partner:
- Ensure the customer continues to onboard additional Catalyst devices to the Meraki Dashboard
- Provide resources about the benefits of using organization alerts
- Provide resources about Intelligent Packet Capture
- Provide resources about Cloud CLI
- Provide resources about the troubleshooting pages available within the Dashboard (switches and/or WLCs)
