Expert Insights Series: Splunk AppDynamics Synthetic Monitoring

Synthetic Monitoring is essential for ensiruing user flows, online resources, and for APIs to perform seamlessly, but getting started can feel overwhelming. That's why we created this Observability Expert Insights Series! In this unique three-session series, we''ll guide you step-by-step through Splunk AppDynamics Synthetics, from building a strong foundation to mastering advanced scripting techniques.

Join us for our first session of the three Synthetics sessions, where a Cisco Observability Engineer walks you through building your first synthetic scripts, for both BRUM and API. Feel free to simply watch or take the opportunity to get hands-on experience by following along using templates we provide. Either way, the goal is for you to develop a strong foundation on Splunk AppDynamics Synthetics, which we'll be building on in future sessions.

In this second session of our three-part series on Splunk AppDynamics Synthetics, we’ll dive deeper into advanced BRUM (Browser Real User Monitoring) script building. A Cisco Observability Engineer will guide you through creating more complex synthetic scripts, exploring advanced techniques, and addressing common challenges. This session is designed to build on the foundational knowledge from Session 1, so you’ll gain the skills and confidence to design scripts tailored to your unique monitoring needs.

In the final session of our three-part Splunk AppDynamics Synthetics series, we focus on advanced API script building. Join a Cisco Observability Engineer as they guide you through crafting sophisticated synthetic scripts for API monitoring, covering advanced use cases, troubleshooting techniques, and optimization strategies. Building on the skills developed in Sessions 1 and 2, this session will help you master the tools and methods needed to monitor APIs effectively and ensure seamless application performance.
